Zuiko 12mm f2 0

E-P3 has the best out of camera JPGs we have ever seen from any camera that is on the market today.

Now, the question is: Should we be satisfied with E-P3 JPGS, or should we try to better that?

It is no secret that Photoshop is part of a game in digital photography world for a long time now. Or, even more than that, sometimes Photoshop is THE game.

We were impressed with Zuiko 12mm f2.0 and E-P3 combination from the very start. Actually, the more appropriate word would be: inspired. We just couldn't leave the camera or the lens. Suddenly, the whole new world has opened in front of our eyes.

Shooting with wide lenses brings a lot of stuff into the frame. Sooner or later you are going to have Sun in your pictures. Or, at least you will need to deal with strong backlighting and flaring. When you are working in tight or crowded places and there is not enough room to move and position your subject for a portrait, you might take out of your bag wide angle lens and just do your job. We got inspired with E-P3 and Zuiko 12mm f2.0 combination.

In this example, we had maybe 1 meter of free space and room full of people: approx. 14 people in 20 square meter room - in which there was a huge and beautiful white table that took at least 6 square meters of the room. It is a summer time in northern hemisphere. It is a vacation time. We are ready to travel somewhere and take a lot of pictures.

Weather is worm and siesta is something that everybody is looking for. Not only that, we want to slow down, relax and enjoy life. This is the time when we don't want to burden ourselves with anything that is not necessary. Yes, we love to take photos, but that doesn't mean that taking photos will get in the way of having fun and enjoying the moment

Today we witnessed that we didn't see the best from 12 megapixel cameras yet. We were surprised by the amount of detail received from Olympus E-P3 and Zuiko 12mm f/2.0. We've never seen so much details and sharpness comming out of camera. Just to avoid any confusion - we are talking about out of camera JPGs..

Okey, we admit, we are pixel peepers from time to time. But, not because we think that it is important to pixel peep - we needed to confirm if Olympus claims about improvements on their 12.3MP sensor are true.
